kerr17 Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 Hi there, I'm getting close to the expiring date of my first stamp in my passport (I've got a NON-"0" visa as I'm married with a thai wife) and I was thinking to bring my friend with me and do some sort of short holiday (2-3 nights) but spend as less as possible (not going in places like Singapore or Malesya for example). I would like to go to a seaside place such as Rayong, Koh Samed or Koh Chang and then from there cross the border and get a new stamp to re-enter Thailand. Does anyone ever do that or have any advice how to do it or am i forced to do a typical visa run to Poipet? Thanks to anyone
ngangu Posted July 21, 2007 Posted July 21, 2007 It's been about three years since I've been down that way so not much current info, sorry. I once did a run from Ban Phe, the port town for Koh Samet, to the Cambodian border while I was doing my TEFL course. It was an all day affair in a mini van. Koh Chang would be much closer to the border and I'm sure it'll be no problem finding a van in Trat to the border. You could continue on into Cambodia for a visit, maybe Sihanoukville? There's a boat from Koh Kong. Good luck
