Transport Ministry’s 14 projects, worth ฿570Bn to start next year

Daily Minimum Wage Hike to Start Next Week

BANGKOK (NNT) - Thailand’s national wage panel has resolved to increase the daily minimum wage starting next week, with Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin indicating a further hike is anticipated in March. The cabinet has recognized the decision of the tripartite wage committee, which proposed raising the daily wage by 2 to 16 baht across different provinces, despite initial government reservations.

PM2.5 levels exceed standards in scores of areas across Bangkok and surroundings

Tragic end for fruit vendor in Chon Buri under hallucination

A 31 year old fruit vendor tragically ended his life in a rented room in Nong Kham, Chon Buri province. The incident took place on December 24 at 5pm. The man was reportedly hallucinating, firing his gun into the air and questioning neighbours about the presence of spirits, before eventually turning the gun on himself.

Prosecutors reject police case file on Siam Paragon shooting

Public prosecutors have decided to return the case file of the 14-year-old suspect in the Siam Paragon shooting on October 3o to the police, on the grounds that the police enquiry was unlawful, because it was carried out without waiting for the youth’s mental health assessment from the Galya Rajanagarindra Institute.

Monk turns influencer: Thai monk faces backlash for enjoying Japan trip

Drug-induced hallucination leads to violent assault on two young boys

A man under the influence of marijuana and cough syrup mixed with kratom severely hallucinated, chased and injured two young boys aged six and nine with a blunted knife.
