Surat Thani road to airport construction? can anyone confirm?

I'm planning to do a visa run in a few days and the lady at the travel agency said the road from donsak to Surat Thani airpot is under construction and that I should take an earlier boat to make in time for the check in. can anyone confirm this? how long it will take with a bus from Donsak to reach Surat Thani airport?
