Police today arrested a foreign man for the sexual harassment and attempted rape of a 16 year old Thai girl at a hotel in the Asoke neighbourhood of Bangkok.

 

The victim’s mother filed a complaint against her foreign boyfriend accusing him of sexually harassing her daughter in the early hours of this morning, January 4.

 

The woman told police that she was a single mother living with her 16 year old daughter. She was dating a foreigner, whose nationality was not revealed. The man offered to help find a part-time job for her daughter.

 

The foreign man made an appointment with her daughter at a hotel in the Asoke area saying he would take her to apply for a job. However, the man’s intentions were sinister and he tried to rape her in the hotel room. He only stopped his depraved attack because the teenager was on her period. He then let the girl return home.

The girl revealed that the foreign man did not rape her but he did sexually harass her in the room. She told her mother about the matter and reported it to Lumphini Police Station.

Good, throw the skank in the clink and permanently ban from entering ever again and report him to the authorities of his home country and register as a sex offender.

If he is American he could be looking at 15 years Federal time for illicit activity in a foreign country. Either way, if all true he must be a tool and should be deported.

If he's a boyfriend already, presumably they had sex before, so what's now? the whole story doesn't make sense...

At 16 she is a minor and it's classic pedo behaviour to get together with a mum to access the daughter. He needs a prison sentence, then a lifetime ban.

Difficult one. If the guy realy had bad intentions as the story tells........Bangkok Hilton. But the money sickness with Thai people could also be in the game. He already was the boyfriend of the girl???? Why didnt mom end this relationship in an earlier stage????

My wife teaches Thai and had an ex USA student who worked for an airline. They waited until he landed on USA soil then arrested him for underage sex in Thailand, he got 22 years, deservedly so, added charge was filming and distributing.

You're the one that doesn't make sense. He's a boyfriend of the mom. What does it matter if he had sex with the mom or not. Whether he actually tried to rape her or not, in many countries, even just luring a minor to a location alone is an offense.

He was the boyfriend of the mother….according to the reporting.

…& if guilty this perp should receive something similar depending on what country he’s from. In the US the very minimum is having to register as a sex offender for life which is a felony meaning passport is permanently revoked for life.

Take the child away from the mother since she clearly can't look after children.  Let the man go due to lack of evidence.

   Would it be acceptable for the Mother to trust her boyfriend not to have sex with her Children ?

No one is defending his action if the allegation is true but that has not been shown to be the case, yet.    The well-reported case of the exonerated van driver accused of rape by a lying girl and her family should be borne in mind.

A lot of people commentating here are forgetting the basics of law in a civilized society: innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
