Do I Need A Visa To Laos

Featured Replies

I am a Singaporean and I intends to go to Loas via the Friendship bridge near Udon Thani in August. Will I need a visa? Am I covered by the Asean priviledge?

You can get one on arrival (just as anyone else), but the price will be very cheap, 400 baht or 10 USD.

Ermm where have you read or heard this - as it's completely wrong!

Singaporeans get a free 30 day stamp as they Lao has signed a visa exemption agreement with Singapore .. .. I can confirm from first hand experience that Laos vistors to Singapore just walk in and get the passport stamped.

Lao Embassy Bangkok, probably incorrect then.

Oh and I also can confirm that Lao visitors can enter Singapore visa free, as my Lao partner did this as well, be it for only 15 days.

Thank you Technocrazy. That was very comforting!

erm I do not if that a thanks or not! :o But anyway take a look on that Lao Bangkok Embassy Link ... firstly dated July 1, 2004 and there is a cost for a visa for a Thai citizen - which definately isn't needed.

These cost maybe the case if you want to get a visa at the embassy - but even then I don't see why Thailand, Vietnam Singapore etc are listed since they have visa exemption agreements with Laos.
