Another 800k question
Apologies as I am sure this specific Q has been answered before.. Regarding retirement visa, I read 2-3 years ago the 800K that must be transferred from abroad into a Thai bank account as a singular transaction. But what if I already have well in excess of that in an existing Thai Baht bank account for many years? I hope that above is incorrect. I recently finished a work permit in Thailand and am planning to apply for a one year retirement visa (first time application) from within Thailand when I return on a visa-exempt/waiver entry. The money accumulated in my Thai bank account was from a monthly salary from a foreign employer and I can provide a statement of earnings. Will the IO want to see a fresh foreign transfer of 800K THB to approve the application for the first time, or will they accept the bank statements and bank book of my Thai account? Thanks for any guidance. Ronnie. -

It was 30 days about 20 years ago, then went down to 15 days from 2009-2014 , not sure when it went from 30 to 15 days though , some time prior to 2009 -

I'm not sure why you got 15 day visa exempt entries 10 years ago then. I was getting 30 well before then IIRC. -

Russian Man Arrested After Super Car Racing on Samui Island By Goongnang Suksawat Surat Thani – A Russian driver was arrested after he raced his super car on the Samui Island in Surat Thani. The Bo Phut Police Chief Colonel Denduang Thongsrisuk told the Phuket Express that the issue was posted in social media after locals were concerned about reckless driving on Tuesday (September 24th). The person who posted on social media said that the yellow super car driver also caused a public nuisance with loud noise. Police found the super car parked at a villa. Mr. Alexandr, 30, Russian national, later presented himself as the super car’s owner. He presented legal sales document to police.
