You don't need a wallet activated. You only need to provide ID. But, even if the Wallet is not activated, there should be an amount showing as a Refund on the Wallet page. Can you see that there?

The sum owing was shown as you say , but as soon as I attempted to  activate the wallet , it disappeared

  • I had the same issue. I had money in my wallet I wanted refunded. The help desk walked me thru the procedure. You have to do it through the "bot" and follow the prompts. After a few stumbles

That usually means that they have sent it to you. 

Another hour plus on phone with Lazada Help and finally I have been reimbursed my outstanding balance.

After this awful experience , I will never purchase anything from Lazada again.
