That message suggests there is some javascript running on the page that consumes tons of CPU resources. Could be some crypto mining ad for example. Or some broken scripts.

AN is definitely the slowest loading site I visit.   But doesn't seem to slow down any others opening on Chrome.

The rest open instantly.

Haven't got the message on Firefox/PC.

Related?:

This morning using AN on Chrome/Android is a PITA. The ad frequency/endless same stuff reaches new heights.

More clicks to remove the s.ht than navigating the forum.

I don't need hints on that, just saying.

And now I used another browser on the mobile (name starts with Br... and it's an enlightenment.

Fast and clean.

Now I am on Firefox at the PC (W10).

I have some add-on to "cool the site down".

(no details, it's "undesired")

Task Manager shows a quiet FF process with CPU at 1% to 2%, memory 630 MB.

Now I stop the add-on.

Nervous CPU load up to 30%, memory at 1300 MB.

Wild popups, movement on the screen, "rolling" ads etc.

For a while CPU down to 4% or so, then jumping to 90 and down again.

A roller coaster.

Draw your own conclusion.

Seems to be it is getting even more worse after the Maintenance, now it takes sometimes 10 minutes to get something posted. Get permanent the same pop up again.

I have AN on Opera.

I've been getting often these No More Activity for a long time now.

I just hit the Reload button (curved arrow top left) and scrolling gets back to normal after reloading.

Thanks, just tried hitting the 'Reload button' but it still says 'No more activity'

When will AN become functional again? Still get the pop up " This page is slowing down Firefox", in many cases it is impossible to post a comment, you click on comment and the page went to top of the side etc..
