Viet Nam Visa

Featured Replies

First of all, I thought I'd write Viet Nam as 2 words (to prove I really am a pretentious prat!!)

Secondly, is it possible to get a Visa on arrival at Noi Bai (there I go again!) airport in Ha Noi (and again!!) or do I have to go to the Viet Namese (hmmmmmm) embassy in Bang Kok(oops!)?

Thanks, sbk, but I have already looked at the website. Normally with embassy websites, they do not give out such info as visa on arrival, only visa pre arrival.

Thanx A Gain

There is a website - sorry i dont recall - that you can 'preregister' and then get a visa when you arrive.

Also when in vietnam go directly to the police to renew dont go through an agent. They may keep you passport as hostage while increasing the agreed rate.

You can renew for 6 months with the police easily.

Thanx for the info. I won't be renewing as this is only a short holiday/border run.
