quick question regarding the 400,000 in bank requirement for NON-O ext. Does the money need to be in the bank two months before put in application or two months before the date ext would run out?

Posted

Two months prior to application and maintained durning under consideration period.

Note the 12 month extension is added to expiry date of current permit.

No loss of days applying early.

Yes. 2 months. Not 60 days.

6) In the case of marriage to a Thai woman, the alien husband must earn an average annual income of no less than Baht 40,000 per month or must have no less than Baht 400,000 in a bank account in Thailand for the past two months to cover expenses for one year.

Just out of interest, how do they know if the 400K is maintained during the consideration period, you need to submit another bank statement when collecting PP with extension? I don't recall this, just collected my PP from the horrible gestapo lady.

Updated bankbook would be sufficient.

Even if funds were not maintained the most likely result would be a warning.

Have never read of the final stamp not given due to mistake of using the funds during the under consideration period

60 or 2 months depends on your IO. And their interpretation of 2 months
