Wait, what?

There's a topic?

Yes, it has a heading, read it and move on if you're not interested, really easy unless you are a nitpicker. 🙄

Back to topic, perhaps a draft dodger that will now be sent to the trenches........😨

Considering the number of Russians in Phuket, it's statistically normal to have this kind of thing happen.

HOW IS THIS RELEVANT?

It's as if news of a pickpocket in the Paris metro made headlines.

Google is your friend.

A wanted Russian man with an INTERPOL Red Notice and ten years of overstay, who used to stay in Phuket, was arrested in Banglamung, not far from Pattaya.

The Royal Thai Immigration Bureau told the press about the incident on Friday (February 9th). They arrested Mr. Mik (alias), 34, a Russian national, in front of a house in Nongprue. He was taken to the Pattaya City Police Station to face charges of overstay (2,971 days) and to wait to be deported.

Not related at all:

"An overstaying Russian man was arrested at a hotel in Patong."

Looks more like a hostel btw.

They should allow him to leave Thailand, rather than sending him to Russia, where he will be jailed or sent to the front in Ukraine. It is an illegal war, started by a psycho. So for Thailand to send him back is a human rights violation.

Different Russians, as are Pattaya and Patong!

Strangely, the, usually mentioned, length of overstay is missing... Either he just overstayed a day or two, or something else is missing.

I removed 13 posts from posters who broke forum rules by posting negative comments on a news article, AND, one comment by a poster who chose to comment on moderation and look, nobody got a warning and nobody got suspended. Please note that if you keep pushing the envelope, this trend and my good nature wont last forever.
