That’s because you don’t see the large numbers of people in Thailand who are not ethnically Thai.

North of Krabi it's 98% buddhist. Some might be Karen or Lao or Kymer but their cultures are similar

You think history and culture is pedantic?

How strange.

Your comments are strange yes. Thailand, Cambodia and Laos are mostly buddhist. 95% in the first two nations and 65% in the later. So similar culture. Same religion, they like rice, noodles and chilli.

Not exactly polar opposites but there's always pedantic people online.

You are getting there. You've recognized Laos and Cambodia as having an impact on Thai culture.

How about the myriad of others?

By the way, there is more to culture than religion, rice, noodles and chilli.

Another strange post. All countries have been influenced by others. That's why there is international food and fusion food. That's why they now have large shopping centres and franchise food.

You need to get out more.

We are talking about the history of Thai culture. The make up of it. The differences. The regionalism of the differences.

Not shopping centres or "franchise" food, what ever that is.

Franchise food is KFC and McDonalds. I guess you live in a village with 38 tribal groups who eat bugs and plants so never heard of them.

You mean franchised outlets. I see now.

Nice to see you are now recognising tribes as part of Thai history and culture

You're getting there. But, then again I, always knew you would. You live in a region where no one can afford to shop in Makro.

The topic is about recent immigration to Britain.

Why are you talking about Macro?
