Must Read Its Happening - Law to Tax Overseas Income Now in Progress
TRD also doesn't recognize the special status the US tax code gives to IRA's, 401k's, HSA's and other special tax deferred accounts. My opinion is: If Thailand does move to worldwide income taxation all those "special" US accounts will be treated as ordinary savings/investment accounts where TRD will consider income earned will be assessable in the tax year that it is earned. So, yes withdrawals will include only money that TRD has already taxed. -

Move Forward opposes any plan to allow a US base in Thailand and commits to uphold its sovereignty
The US air bases in Thailand were needed for the carpet bombing of Indochina but the US has no current need for anything in Thailand. Fake news. -

Must Read Its Happening - Law to Tax Overseas Income Now in Progress
If we can get past January 1st without it being passed, then I would think that would negate 2025 as a start date for any World Wide income tax. For now that is what I am hoping for, but still have to deal with remittances issues. -

The Thai ETA (Electronic System for Travel Authorisation)
Post you responded to I said I'm not sure when other airlines will follow suit (in doing self check-in only). What has you quoting Jetstar or Vietjet changed what I said in that I'm not sure when other airlines will follow suit? -

Trump admits he lost in 2020, leading white nationalist Nick Fuentes to disavow him
i would say the same but the 10's of thousands of people in jail for rape murder and human trafficking might disagree with you. -

Thai gov. to tax (remitted) income from abroad for tax residents starting 2024 - Part II
Typically, if a Thai has a formal job, their company will file a tax return for them - but the tax return only includes formal earnings, not sideline work, for which there is no reporting mechanism. -

Why is Trump Really Running for Office Again?
I don't get your first point that you have said a few times. I mean the virus itself did not cause inflation but the effects came direct from covid. I do not profess to be able to pick the sweet spot of a tax increase. I imagine you are the same. Trump has reduced it to 21 and now wants to go to 15. That's a massive drop from 35 in 2016. You may be a fervent advocate for trickle down economics where low taxes benefit the rich and it flows to all but - while high taxes can be a huge drag - studies show many times that it often doesn't trickle far from the rich. Lowering taxes in Kansas is one example where reducing taxes did not lead to good outcomes for the community as expected. This was a big deal at the time. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kansas_experiment Your argument that taxes should not be raised because prices will go up is a bit tenuous as noted and there are of course many benefits. You are right that it is hard to get ahead of the tax loophole experts. You can say it's all too hard or look to get a smart well trained tax office. Pay well for well trained experts. I recall Trump gutting the tax office and he appears to have further plans to upend the public service. If he is linked to Project 2025 - which he denies - then they want to make high level government workers to pledge allegiance to the leader - forget experts they want Trump toadies.
