Popular Post glegolo18
I have a friend norwegian nationality. He have had some problem with the police here. Not drugs or serious stuff like that. More like domestic violence. He was in jail for about 4 months and then kicked out of Thailand. But he have no clue at all weather or not he is prohibited to return to Thailand again. May I ask you guys, do anybody know if there is a place to contact in Thailand and possibly see if he is on a list of sort??? Would appreciate very much if you could help out. I feel sad for this guy because he have a lot of stuff here in Thailand, such as condo and savings in the bank. Thank you, Edited March 16 by metisdead ALL CAPS removed from topic title. 4 4

Popular Post Hummin
Why dont he just go. If he gets in, good, if not, just have a cheap ticket same day to a neighbouring country Maybe best advise go to the embassy in Oslo, and talk with them if they can help out, checking his status. Well no but that gives him another country to stay in for a while so flight isnt wasted. The passport should have a stamp in it if banned. Cambodia has 1 year visas for $300 over 55yo so an option maybe. 2

Strangely my understanding is that overstay with significant ban is more of an obstacle than deportation in regards returning. In his shoes I would obtain a visa. Even then would fly to land border country a use land border entry. 3 1

NativeBob
5 minutes ago, glegolo18 said: And many thanks for your suggestion with the VISA Visa is not the "entry permit" for the country, and imm. officer at the border will make final decision: IN or NOT. Also, how average lawyer can check the ban list? Go to C.Wattana and ask? Call the hot-line? That is exactly what OP asks - legal way to check ban-list. I think he should begin with proper power of attorney about his properties in TH, not trying to cross the border (which looks like a good idea for me).
