I will have to go to Bangkok and while I am there I want to show some issues I have to an ENT specialist. Can you please recommend me the best doctor for this?

It's nose related like frequent bleeding (a few times a week), either randomly or when I blow my nose, with some bloody mucus.

 

The other issue is frequent throat clearing, not sure if that might be related to potential acid reflux, burning sensation in the throat, but this started happening before that.

It seems like that doctor is not available for quite a while so requires a visit on a different day which I might do but I saw you also recommending this doctor:

Would you recommend him over her? I will check if he is available the day I will be in BKK. If so that would be ideal of course. I just assumed Bumrungrad generally has the best doctors.

Prof. Songklot is  good. And besides Bangkok Hospital he can also be seen at St. Louis which costs less. 

 

 

Hi @Sheryl Can you recommend a good ENT Doctor that specializes on ear problems - like recurrent earaches (e.g. specializes in ears rather than sinsus or nasal)? The one I've been seeing for the last two years says everything seems fine - but it's not..

When you say earache can you be more specific? Inner or outer ear?

 

If Doctor says no sign of infection then  I wonder if it is actually not an ear problem at all but something like TMJ pain so please describe pain location as exactly as you can, the specialists differ.

Thanks for the reply. It's outer ear and just inside the canal around the top (precise area of incisura or external auditory meatus). It happens once or twice each week for many months, and I can tell when it's coming on because the discomfort begins slowly and if I press lightly on the tragus it hurts a bit more. I try to hack it out as long as I can but eventually reach for the ibuprofen.

 

I try to avoid water near the ears when showering, so I don't think it's 'swimmer's ear' but could be. Air conditioning seems to be trigger too. If you uave nouts of extetnal otitis it wouod be readily apparent to doctor (visible redness and inflammation) but I gather doctor did not see anything? Were you examined by doctor while this was going on?

 

If all this is the case (examined by doctor while experiencing this, doctor saw no redness or inflammation) then best I can suggest is to rule out TMJ pain, which can occur around the ear. For that, this doctor:
