Leaving Thailand 2024
After 25 years of Thailand and working in the Middle East and other too hot places, I love it here in Alberta. It's where I was born and raised It's nice to have real seasons again. I've got an attached heated 3 car garage, that takes a lot of the bite out of winter. -

Advice requested on a Credit Card payment
Hello My thai partner and I recently ( 4 weeks ago ) ordered a sofa from a Furniture Company in Central Department Store in Chiang Rai. We paid using my partners Bangkok Bank Credit Card. We ordered on 12 October and were promised a delivery two weeks later. As of today no sofa has turned up. We have made multiple phonecalls and seem to be given excuses for non delivery. I am beginning to doubt if we will ever get the sofa. What options do we have to recover the money we paid out. Can we cancel the Credit Card payment, I know you can do this in UK. If we can cancel the Credit Card payment, how ? is there a time limit ? Any advise on how to recover the funds or sofa appreciated. -
