Revenue Department boss calls on tax residents in Thailand to file 2024 returns by March 31
Revenue Department urges tax residents in Thailand to file 2024 returns by March 31. Expats with over 180 days in Thailand must submit returns for income remitted in 2024. New tax rules require filing electronically, with possible refunds for early submissions. The Director-General of the Revenue Department on Thursday called on taxpayers to file their end-of-year returns for 2024. This will be the first year that all foreign residents in Thailand are included. Changes to tax regulations in 2023 make all income remitted to Thailand by foreign residents in the country for over 180 days last year declarable. The income tax payable by each foreigner depends on the nature of such income and the tax treaty with their country of origin. The question now is how many foreign taxpayers will file returns between now and March 31st. After that, it remains to be seen if follow-up actions will be taken against those who fail to do so. A Thai Examiner survey in 2024 showed that 16% of people plan to take professional advice, while a full 58% would not file a return at all. https://www.thaiexaminer.com/thai-news-foreigners/2025/01/03/revenue-department-boss-calls-on-tax-residents-in-thailand-to-file-2024-runs-by-the-march-31st-deadline/ -

Coming in visa exempt.. whats need right now (Jan 2 2024)
Boarding pass has always been required. Even when there was TM6. There is a sign at immigration desk area. Many folk chuck em and the immigration officers just ignore it. -

Coming in visa exempt.. whats need right now (Jan 2 2024)
Ya I'm just a tourist. I come once a year and really dont expect questions.. never been questioned once about anything but i've been watching this board for as long as I can remember.. and know things here can change weekly. The whole ETA earlier this year was going to be a new one on me. When they dropped the TM6 no one told me about the boarding pass. I usually drop it in the trash but happen to have it that time in the bag.. glad I did and glad the wife kept hers and the kids cause a few guys in front of me were givin the gears by the IO and all I want is a smooth entry and dont want to be that unlucky guy. All the trips I have done it was the only time I ever seen anyone have any kind of issue.. even then it I dont think the IO was really all that pissed just frustrated. A friendly reminder from the air stewards would go a long way for everyone.. even a helpful note on the embassy website would help those who have no clue before they come here. -

Nong Khai Border Bounce. Avoid !!!
Please. Hardly useful as you have no idea why the 30 day extension was refused. Could have been as simple as incomplete paperwork. The 7 days is not an extension it's a leave Thailand within 7 days. -

Changing from a non o based on retirement to non o based on marriage
OP, thinking your issue is with trying to get married in Thailand while your stamp for permission of stay is in UK pp. It may be that you have to exit Thailand and kill off the non O. Return to Thailand visa exempt on your Irish pp. Subsequently get married. The visa exempt would provide 60 day stamp. Can be extended by 30 or 60 if married at that point.. Obtain a non O based on marriage from your visa exempt entry and subsequent 12 month extension. -

Why some of us did not get COVID symptoms …even though we were exposed.
Your response confirms what I wrote. "Statistics are being challenged as being manipulated or exaggerated." And you responded, "even you are posting BS statistics." jas007 posted wrote, "The excess deaths keep piling up around the world, except in places like Africa, where everything is pretty much business as usual." I replied, "Africa, 12 1/2 million cases and 258,00 deaths," followed by a link. He and another poster questioned the reliability of my link. So I posted another link with basically the same figures. I don't recall you posting a rebuttal to my so called "BS statistics." -

2025 stock favorites
Yes, Dow is kind of sickly. Glad I only bought a few shares. I'll watch it for a few months to see if it shows any signs of life. I'll have to give Tradevision a look - thanks
