Watching it, I had to turn on the subtitles to understand what he was saying. After viewing, I'd say he has a string of defamation suits coming his way. Best to get out of Dodge right now.

He also routinely called the existing Pai expat population libtards. He went on a crusade of sorts against them. That's why I was watching his channel and being entertained. I lived in Pai for 1 year in 2005 and it's 100x worse now than it was then.

Mr Thomas is reported to have violated Thai law  and now has apologised on youtube, he is allegedly only sorry because he has been caught.

 

Yesterday in centre Bangkok observed some foreigner muscleman with his tight shorts, no shirt, trainers and sweating profusely strutting into a lotus's. This kind of attire is suitable for the beach but not the city centre. Of course we mind our own business but it does not present a good impression to the locals.

Special message to all the Whiners out there who move to Thailand.  Please note, the Thais have many, many options for you to pack up and leave the country.  You can get a Bold, GRAB, Train, Taxi, Car or bus to Swampi.  

 

I have not heard or met a Thai yet since moving here that begged me to come to this country.  No one is telling me to stay here or forcing me to stay.  

 

The Thais, just like American, the whiny Brits, and obnoxious Eastern Europeans are not perfect, but I can assure you that is it much better than the hell hole I left in the west.

 

Simple solution, not complicated....Get out of Thailand if is not your cup of tea.  Ok!

He only apologizes because his free pass and visa are now in jeopardy. No sincerity. Another Pai neo hippie who thought he could drink, smoke, freeload his way through Thailand behaving any way he pleased, not respecting the people or the culture. Like the ones who run around with their shirts off, which if you folks don't know, and you should, is an offense to the Thai people. It's about time an example was made for the rest of the deadbeats to take notice of.  Notice how much he now loves the place when threatened with deportation. So the problem is, and was, that you didn't use common sense and do your due diligence before you came here, and now you join the chorus of disgruntled Brits that do nothing but complain about a country that you yourself chose to relocate to. Your criticism should be directed to the guy in your mirror because that is who is to blame. I researched Thailand for 5 years before I came here, and fit right in with no complaints - now 10 years. You miserable complaining Brits are worse that my mother used to be - she used to complain so much I used to say she wasn't happy unless she was miserable. And to all of the very nice, personable,  and great brits, who are the majority and whose company I always enjoy over a pint, you probably know what I'm talking about,

I'm American, and amen brother! You will never hear me complain about this life. If there is a problem I address it directly, ask for help resolving it, or let it go. All with the most courtesy and respect, and I receive the same in return

Yeah, you're right, but 15-17 years back there was only Lonely Planet guide to get info from, and they said it was great.

all he ever did was state the problems he had hiring Thai staff. He upset the Pai community is the real reason for the witch hunt.

Same here, I read books, watched a ton of YT vids, talked to Military vets and Thais to get to low down on the culture and people.  After all my analysis and critical thinking skills, I choose to move here, because, even though it is not perfect, it is much safer, cheaper and life is much better than retirement in the west.  Finally, no one forced me to retire here.  Some Western folks were just raised spoiled and entitled and think the world revolves around them.  Hey UK, your empire died after WW2.  Deal with it.  Same for you Americans, we are not that important to the world anymore.  Appreciate what TH has to offer or take the Train, bus, Bolt, Car or Grab to Swampi and LEAVE!
