A speeding pickup truck driver travelling in Nakhon Ratchasima province reportedly lost control of his vehicle, veering into the middle shoulder and flipped his car into the oncoming lane, leaving all passengers stuck inside the flipped vehicle.

Earlier today, Police Lieutenant Colonel Awatchai Promwong, an investigator at Klang Dong Police Station, received a report from the Klang Dong Police radio centre about a pickup truck that had lost control and flipped onto the opposite lane.

Several people were left injured on Mittraphap Road in Klang Dong subdistrict, Pak Chong district, Nakhon Ratchasima province.

Pol. Lt. Col. Awatchai arrived at the scene alongside traffic police officers, highway police officers, and Klang Dong rescue workers.

At the scene, they found a silver Isuzu pickup truck with Samut Sakhon licence plates, overturned with its wheels pointing skywards in the middle of the opposite lane. Luckily, no vehicles were coming from the opposite direction at that time.

Personal belongings were scattered all over the road. Upon inspecting inside the truck, they found 4 injured passengers stuck inside.

First attempts of rescue proved unsuccessful, with officials instead relying on hydraulic rescue tools to urgently assist the injured passengers out of the vehicle before transferring them to Pak Chong Nana Hospital.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the truck was travelling from Bangkok to Nakhon Ratchasima province with four people including the driver, before a momentary loss of control led to the ensuing accident.

Awatchai disclosed that the cause of the incident is still unknown. The truck has been taken to Klang Dong Police Station. The driver and the injured passengers are receiving treatment at the hospital, reported Daily News.

After treatments, the driver will be summoned to said police station for further questioning to determine the sequence of events leading up to the accident, before proceeding with legal action if deemed necessary.

Of course it's necessary, he was  speeding and couldn't controll the vehicle, jailtime for him.
