Is there some way to get good enough quality for 52" TV via the internet ? If so, how would you set it up and what kit would you need.

Alternatively, what about some sort of satellite dish. Can we just pluck German football out of the sky somehow ?

Cheers

Internet.. Technically possible but extremely expensive..

Think 2 high speed net connections, an access subscription back in the west and a slingbox type affair.. Can be done but your looking at some fairly advanced costs.

German Sat birds will be under the horizon.. You need to look to see if any german channels are rebroadcast on other birds.

lyngsat.com may help you find the channels.. From there you needc to see if you can get the access cards or if the encryption is weak. If you find a channel you want say what sat its on and we may be able to help further.

I watch it on a 42 inch screen, it is not that bad. And I don't look online. I use it as a online recorder and download the files. The quality with save.tv should be ok. I use shift.tv, which is not perfect but also aceptable. Actualy it is looking even better on my big plasma screen then on my LCD Computer screen... But of course it is far away from HDTV. But it is a good solution to look to German TV (you can record almost everything) for little money and a normal ADSL-Internet Connection. I have True for 850 THB, which allows me to download with about 120 KB/s.
