How to play my mp3/cdg files alongside Thai midi files in the same program .. ?
We have an old standalone version of Karafun [from before it morphed into an online money pit] and a thai/english karaoke player called Extreme Karaoke. The Karafun plays my ancient collection of what has been transformed into mp3/cdg files, and a copy of these which are in zipped format. The Extreme Karaoke plays midi files in Thai and English, although it rarely gets used for English - only when I'm put on the spot and cannot loadup the Karafun. I'm not particularly tech savvy so I'd ideally like to purchase [ but not subscribe to ] a program/app that could combine all the elements in one user friendly, searchable system. No chance it seems, after googling on many occasions. I thought the Thai/English midi based karaoke might have been a step in the right direction but I heard that the technicalities of adding mp3/cdg files and the 'engine' to play/select them would be far from easy if not impossible - as well as potentially illegal . So, I'm reaching out to see if anyone has found an elegant solution to what must have been a problem to at least some readers...? Anyone...? -

Called at the Chonburi Taxation office
I gave them my alien ID number (from yellow tibian bahn and pink ID card). Depending on the horse coming before or after the cart, that could/would be my TIN if/when I get one. Since this bank always ends all communictaions with a comment that further information may be needed in the future (they have never, ever said that the matter is closed to everyone's satisfaction , thanks), giving them a fake number seems like a quicker way of kicking the can a shorther distance down the road. I did manage to keep them happy for a spell by telling them that I am retired here, not eligible for employment and thus not required to have a local TIN. About a year later, they came back and haunted me again as this bank doesn't accept that you can be still living and breathing and not paying tax somewhere: all with the non-compliance resulting in the account being either restricted or closed. I guess they are stuck on the notion that any and all income is either taxable or liable for assessement of being otherwise. -

THB35 Customs charge on package from UK.
Today, I retrieved a package by visiting Chaiyaphruek Post Office. Apparently, if my phone number had been on the package, the postman/woman would have phoned me to agree the fee prior to delivery. I'm not quibbling about the charge, but I've never had to pay it with previous identical packages. The post office informed me that the fee represented "7%." If my maths is correct, then 100% would equate to THB500, which I think was the gram weight of the package. Is this fee something new? -
