A Russian man was arrested at Phuket International Airport for alleged money laundering.

Immigration officers told the Phuket Express that on Friday (June 7th) they and the Kathu Police arrested a 31-year-old Russian man at the international arrivals terminal in the airport.

 

He is wanted following the issue of an arrest warrant by the Phuket Provincial Court. He is being accused of money laundering and was taken to the Phuket Provincial Court.

This is his method of blending in, like saying: look at me, do i look like a money launderer to to you?

question is what will happen to all the moneys out and about if he's deported or jailed?...

Seems like money laundering not pay same good as before, judging out of his attire. Far too many Russian in Thailand at the moment, as many of them are into shady businesses. Better send them all home to Putin with the evidence. I am pretty sure he would like to keep the money in the country at the moment.

I exchange money via Binance with P2P. Unfortunately, they are all RUSSIAN citizens! I'm really fed up now, I'm scared every time. Once my account went into negative balance.

Wonder if it is part of this case reported on in April 2024. Did the guy abscond then try to come back?
