I agree, but some do not meet the requirements or are lazy to do the paperwork  themselves. 

"Nan Services" seem to be popular in Pattaya for Bank accounts and Driving licences for those "on the fringe".

Does anybody have another way to contact ianguygil? I need to open a bank account after over 20 years of avoiding it...

It looks as though Ian might be taking a well deserved break, he's not be on the forum since early September, so might have to find another route for getting bank account in Bangkok.

He announced a while ago that he's leaving the forum, as he had had to deal with some unfair comments on here. So I wouldn't expect an answer to PMs.
