Fauci Reveals Trump's F-Bomb-Fueled Call During Early COVID-19 Crisis

In a forthcoming autobiography, former chief White House medical adviser Anthony Fauci divulges a contentious phone call with former President Donald Trump during the initial stages of the COVID-19 pandemic. The book, titled "On Call: A Doctor’s Journey in Public Service," reveals Trump's frustration, marked by expletives, directed at Fauci three months into the pandemic.

According to reports from The New York Times and The Daily Beast, Fauci recounts a series of expletive-laden rants from Trump during a phone call in 2020. Trump reportedly berated Fauci, dropping numerous f-bombs and accusing him of exacerbating the nation's troubles. "The president was irate, saying that I could not keep doing this to him," Fauci wrote, according to the Times.

Fauci described the call as highly charged, with Trump expressing his frustration over the economic implications of Fauci's public health advisories. "He said he loved me, but the country was in trouble, and I was making it worse," Fauci recounted. Trump allegedly added that the stock market's modest rise of 600 points in response to positive Phase 1 vaccine news was insufficient, blaming Fauci for costing the country a trillion dollars. The memoir details that Trump punctuated his complaint with an expletive.

The chapter discussing Trump's actions during the early days of the pandemic is aptly titled, “He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not.” Fauci reflects on the challenges of working under such intense scrutiny and pressure, stating, "I have a pretty thick skin, but getting yelled at by the president of the United States, no matter how much he tells you that he loves you, is not fun."

Fauci's memoir, encompassing 480 pages, dedicates approximately 70 pages to the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic, a period marked by frequent clashes with the Trump administration. The book, scheduled for release on Tuesday, chronicles Fauci's extensive career, including his tenure as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health, a position he held for nearly four decades.

During the pandemic, Fauci emerged as a prominent public health figure, often at odds with Trump's approach to handling the crisis. His visibility made him a target for criticism from many Republicans, who accused him of mismanaging the pandemic response. Earlier this month, Fauci defended his actions and recommendations during a House committee hearing, where he faced rigorous questioning from Republican lawmakers.

In response to Fauci's revelations, Steven Cheung, Communications Director for the Trump campaign, issued a statement to The Hill. "Mr. Fauci is desperately trying to rewrite history to cover for his bad instincts and ill-advised recommendations that President Trump overturned, which saved millions of lives," Cheung asserted. He added that Trump's decisions, contrary to Fauci's advice, prevented the country from remaining open to China and other threats while allowing the economy to reopen, thus protecting millions of lives.

Fauci's book provides a detailed account of his life and career, including his experiences under seven U.S. presidents, beginning with the Reagan administration. It offers a candid look at the challenges he faced during the COVID-19 pandemic and his efforts to navigate the complex dynamics of public health and political pressure.

The release of "On Call: A Doctor’s Journey in Public Service" is expected to reignite debates over the handling of the pandemic and Fauci's role in it. As the nation continues to grapple with the pandemic's aftermath, Fauci's memoir serves as a significant historical document, shedding light on the unprecedented public health crisis and the contentious political environment that accompanied it.

Surprise, surprise, Anthony Fauci is out with a new book on COVID. And in an even more stunning turn of events, he believes he did an amazing, nearly perfect job handling the virus.

Though even that undersells how his book reveals just how disconnected from reality, facts, and evidence Fauci is. As well as how committed to promoting himself, his agenda, and his ideology.

It's a masterpiece of misinformation, contradictions, and self-congratulation. In short, it's everything you'd expect out of Anthony Fauci and yet somehow so much worse.

I wasn't aware that the book was out yet but by reading your comment, perhaps it is. Have you read it?

Dr. Fauci recommended the same protocols and action implemented by numerous less effected countries than th USA.

The MAJOR variable factor in the US was the BIG ORANGE BABY who did nothing but lie about the pandemic.

He was quick to claim recognition for the vaccine then ducked and dived on implementing preventative policies, choosing  instead to stay on the I am popular platform and change his actions and opinions daily. Trump has no qualifications to contradict the worlds medical scientists. The only qualifications he has is on how to go BANKRUPT and Losing legal battles in the countries courts. A failure as a man, husband, father, businessman and president!. A true embarresment to the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

I wonder if there will be a few pages noting Trumps' suggestion to drink bleach to kill the virus. Maybe Trump experimented with bleach himself but all it did was turn his face and hair orange. Possibly it caused more brain damage too.

Is that 'advanced degree from an accredited university' you have in Virology or Epidemiology?

Just curious about your particular area of expertise, since apparently you know better than Dr. Fauci.

Let him be.

So does he talk about the grant money to EcoHealth Alliance and the "gain of function" research at Wuhan, in his book? Does he still say that Covid may have come from a Pangolin? What is his take on that Polybasic cleavage site in the Sars Cov 2 genome that shows the PRRA sequence. (that was inserted). Just curious if anyone has read his book. I won't be.

Are you kidding, the guy has been the best thing for US health.  Just take a look at the rate of chronic diseases in the US since he took over. Take a look at autism rates since he took over.  Take a look at obesity levels since he took over.  Take a look at the amount of spending on health care vs the rest of the world since he took over.

Is Fauci focused on heatlh, no? Is he focused on power, corruption and lies? we'll let the whole covid coverup  mess address that issue.

Best health care beaucrat ever in the history of the world.

Yes, Fauci postulated that the virus might have come from pangolins. And this research from 2023 shows that pangolins are still a viable candidtae

A pangolin-origin SARS-CoV-2-related coronavirus: infectivity, pathogenicity, and cross-protection by preexisting immunity

Virus spillover remains a major challenge to public health. A panel of SARS-CoV-2-related coronaviruses have been identified in pangolins, while the infectivity and pathogenicity of these pangolin-origin coronaviruses (pCoV) in humans remain largely unknown. Herein, we comprehensively characterized the infectivity and pathogenicity of a recent pCoV isolate (pCoV-GD01) in human cells and human tracheal epithelium organoids and established animal models in comparison with SARS-CoV-2. pCoV-GD01 showed similar infectivity to SARS-CoV-2 in human cells and organoids.

You treat it as a fact that the furin cleave was inserted. Not necessarily...

Furin cleavage sites naturally occur in coronaviruses

"Here, we analyzed the sequences of coronaviruses and found furin sites occurred independently for multiple times during evolution. This exhibits natural occurrence of furin cleavage site in SARS-CoV-2 spike protein is highly possible. Thus, the insertion of furin cleavage site into SARS-CoV-2 spike protein is not necessarily a result of manual work."

As for gain-of-function experiments being the cause of Covid-19..

NIH DOCUMENTS PROVIDE NEW EVIDENCE U.S. FUNDED GAIN-OF-FUNCTION RESEARCH IN WUHAN
U.S.-funded experiment in China posed biosafety risks but did not cause Covid-19 pandemic, scientists say
.

"Scientists unanimously told The Intercept that the experiment, which involved infecting genetically engineered mice with “chimeric” hybrid viruses, could not have directly sparked the pandemic. None of the viruses listed in the write-ups of the experiment are related to the virus that causes Covid-19, SARS-CoV-2, closely enough to have evolved into it. Still, several scientists said the new information, which the NIH released after it was sued by The Intercept, points to biosafety concerns, highlighting a general lack of oversight for research on pathogens and raising questions about what other information has not been publicly disclosed."

Tedious to repeat basic run-of-the-mill information . Will made an exception. Vaccines do not entirely protect everyone from being infected with Covid-19. It protect you from getting seriously ill.

Yup with all the jabs you can still get Covid just it is extremely rare for it to be serious so far that has been the case not so long ago this virus was killing 4,000 + people a day it was so bad it lowered the overall life expectancy by 2 years here in the states.the wife tests positive so she’s got it but a mild case so far thank god!she’s not in some hospital corridor drowning slowly in her lung fluids alone and terrified I’m deeply grateful for that!

You are correct. What Trump very sensibly suggested was injecting disinfectant. That's so much better!

"And then I see the disinfectant where it knocks it out in a minute. One minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning?"

I don't watch much television but I was watching the day Trump suggested that high-scientific remedy. Besides his presentation of the idea, something that sounded like an idea a 4-year old would suggest, I clearly recall the embarrassed look on the faces of other people involved in that news conference when the camera panned to them. Hokey ideas like this from a one-time-president need to be recalled at a time when the individual is vying for the presidency once again. Where's the "hoax" in that?

Tug indicated a mild case of Covid-19 is what his wife has. That is one of the features of the vaccine, it limits the severity of the disease.

It must be awfully hard for Dr Fauci to resist the temptation to not call Trump an idiot, moron, intellectually handicap and  buffon in his book.
