I have never heard the phrase "USA always gets its man".

I'll take that as a confirmation that you never worked for the FBI or the CIA.

They also didn't get Snowden, who still lives a free man now and at the courtesy of one of the USA's greatest enemies.

The only reason Ed wound up in Russia is that the US regime cancelled his passport as he was waiting to transfer flights at a Moskau airport.

If it is true that Assange will plead guilty in an American court and will be sentenced to time served in the UK, then he didn't escape. Plus, I am not sure the Americans are trustworthy enough not to incarcerate him for another 20 years once he is on their soil.

It's the RCMP that always get their man.

Watching a few of the Crimebeat docos available I'd say that's pretty much hit and miss as well. Some of the Canadian cops come across as pretty dim bulbs who couldn't catch a cold.

Thankfully. The US can be very over zealous in its reaching out and attempting to prosecute those they don't like. Except of course guys like MBS, and other crooks and serial killers who are considered valuable.

Ed Snowden chillin' like a villain in Moscow enjoying delicious caviar, fine hot young Russian kitty and romantic fireplace chats with a real leader who actually acts in the long term interests of the country.

They usually are pretty successful at capturing criminals overseas related to financial crimes like MBS and Ross Ulbright. They also got Ramon Abbas and Viktor Bout, but then traded the later for the basketball player.

Yes, but the left loves Assange.

Stay in jail in solitary confinement for the rest of your life or sign a piece of paper that says something that you don't agree with and you go free. No brainer isn't it?

Depends on who you are.

Not saying it's true, just that it's their slogan.

The phrase the "USA always gets its man" is not really true, is it? Assange just walked a free man and they fought tooth and nail to get him for nearly a decade and failed. They also didn't get Snowden, who still lives a free man now and at the courtesy of one of the USA's greatest enemies.

Yes, they got other high priority US targets like Bin Laden, "El Chapo" Guzmán, Noriega, Saddam Hussein and a few others in the past. But my point is they win some and lose some. Success depends on various factors, including international cooperation, legal frameworks, and the specific circumstances in each case and, thus they don't have the sweeping powers across the world that they would like the rest of the world to believe, which is that they can capture fugitives anywhere.

This false belief seems to also have derived from the mindset of American exceptionalism. The belief that the United States is inherently different from other nations, often viewing itself as a beacon of freedom, democracy, and justice, but yet that also isn't really the case. And this ideology can extend as far as to the false belief that American institutions, including law enforcement and intelligence agencies, are uniquely capable and effective in always achieving their agendas.

Outside of its borders, the USA is viewed very differently though, far more realistically and much more objectively. But inside the USA the brainwashing is sadly still very strong for many.

They tried extremely hard to kill Castro. And he basically outsmarted them. It’s an amazing story if you are able to maintain objectivity. He fled to a mountain range when usa wanted him dead. One man on his own more or less. He rallied an army and took over the entire country. Just drop your ego and your preconceived notions and imagine doing that.

Gotta love how you guys make incredible generalizations of what is estimated to be 49% of registered voters in the US. And we are all also communist, love Marxist ideology, are not patriotic, are anti-American because we are critical of Trump, worship celebrities, and many of us eat babies and drink their blood.

Way to go. Keep up the harmony creation, and make America great again with hatred and division.

Not all Democrats are leftists.
