Feel sorry for AN posters who bought electric
I answered you, yet you ignored me. Your silence is deafening. Not sure what you are trying to prove. Generators are common. Someone has brought to market a temporary generator that can charge EVs in temporary or very remote locations. Temporary. It is not a permanent charging station. Temporary. Are all EVs being charge by diesel generators? Read the tech spec or is that too much trouble? Posting the actual link was clearly too much trouble for you - seems you can only deal in pictures. -

Is Thailand Value for money
May be true...I remember how surprised I was in the US how they build there shackshouses. No wonder they fly away when the wind blows. It's not necessarily bad that way. The walls of my parents' house were 1m thick and would easily last for 500 years - what for? -

BYD Seal tips, tricks and help
I have aftermarket wheels and I think they are 1 inch wider than the standard wheels (8 inches) but they have the standard tires on, I will be upgrading the tires two sizes wider when they need replacing. Standard tires on wider wheels gets rid of the tract issue from standing starts on dry, clean roads. -

The Decline of the United Nations: A Toothless Global Forum
I'm well aware the the British lied when they told the Arabs supporting them that they would have independence post war, given they had already agreed with France to divide the area. https://www.irishtimes.com/news/world/middle-east/betrayal-of-arabs-after-first-world-war-set-stage-for-turbulent-century-1.1840067 Betrayal of Arabs after first World War set stage for turbulent century However, that has nothing to do with giving Palestinian land to Jews as a homeland 29 years later, and Britain had abdicated to the UN to decide it's fate, after being defeated by Jewish terrorists, the Stern gang. https://www.britannica.com/topic/Stern-Gang Extremely anti-British, the group repeatedly attacked British personnel in Palestine and even invited aid from the Axis powers. -

Ukraine ... Enlighten yourself
It's impossible, because your post had no "reasoning". You were talking about NORAD and accusing me of being paid by RT. Pretty stupid stuff. It didn't sail over my head, but rather crawled by my feet. -

The Tim Walz thread.
On the issues that Americans actually care about the most- immigration and the economy and inflation, the GOP is ahead. And Vance also trounced Walz. The mods tried to save poor Tim by pivoting to unimportant stuff like January 6 and who won the last election. It really didnt work, and to most voters really doesnt matter. I was very surprised that there was no discussion of the Ukraine/Russia war, not of the threat of China.- 1

Bank of Thailand Intervenes to Manage Baht's Exchange Rate
Funny - I recall arguing with a bunch of people on here only a little while ago - they all claimed the higher Baht was all and only because of the USD drop. As I said then, the Junta/Thai Govt/Elite have been manipulating the Baht since 2014/15 to make it artificially high. They are doing that for many reasons - paying off loans, costs of imports, costs of military equipment, investing overseas, etc etc etc. They do not give a rat's rear that it make rice and other exports cost more, nor that tourists have to pay extra. There are many ways Central Banks can 'manage' their currency - interest rates and buying/selling currency reserves are just two of the ways they can do it. As the lady said - they underestimated how quickly and how far their 'interventions' would make the Baht increase. Expect a major lowering soon - it takes time for their actions to take effect and with a bit of luck they will 'overdo' it again. And for those who claimed that USA and IMF are monitoring countries to stop them manipulating their currency, that is rubbish., They monitor those that are artificially lowering their currency rate to make their own Exports cost less, and their Manufacturing/Investments costs less for overseas investors (and for Tourism). -

Four Charges Filed Against Driver in Bus Fire That Killed 23
No, you are stupid, (to enter) He should have followed procedure. Tippy tapping on your computer not knowing What you are talking about makes you Stupid In the event of a fire, your top priority as a bus or coach driver is to help passengers disembark as quickly and safely as possible before the fire escalates. Here's how the procedure should go: Stop the vehicle safely: Pull over immediately and turn off the engine to reduce any additional risk of the fire spreading. Open the doors: Immediately open the doors to allow passengers to disembark and leave the vehicle quickly. Instruct passengers: Calmly but firmly instruct passengers to exit the bus in an orderly manner. Encourage them to leave personal belongings behind to speed up the evacuation. Use emergency exits: If the main doors are blocked or unsafe, direct passengers to use emergency exits, including windows or roof hatches. Move passengers to a safe distance: Once outside, guide everyone to a safe distance, away from the vehicle and out of harm’s way. Call emergency services: After ensuring all passengers are safe, contact emergency services to report the fire and get help. Once everyone is safely off the vehicle, then, if it’s safe and you are trained, you can attempt to control the fire with a fire extinguisher. However, passenger safety is always the first priority. 4o -

Frozen in time: British expats losing out on pensions in Thailand
While I totally understand the unfairness of this policy, I really cannot for the life of me understand how in less than 6 months (not even due an annual increase) this Brit guy can go from expecting to be living in "Paradise" into a "Financial Nightmare" Hell, the yearly increase is probably less than a tenner! Must be living on a knife edge. At least you can enjoy what is left of paradise rather than having to suffer the horrors of living in that Shi%hole that once was "Great Britain" I might be wrong but I think you can return to the UK and have your pension re-linked back to the normal system..... nothing to stop you leaving again.
