Then other areas become drought stricken, rivers and lakes dry up, forest fires result then when it does rain, landslides and mud floods a never ending battle. Now with record temperatures in the south/central Atlantic, Mexico, northern S. America and the US will experience some really strong hurrricanes - i.e. a record setter for the very first one of this season. Just look at the world news daily - i.e. The US upper central area super floods, Fla, floods, Texas floods, too many tornadoes this year, fires in Calf and N. Mexico, "Gorilla hail" size of softballs in many states, floods in China, India, Pakistan, Kajikistan, Brazil, Peru, Kenya, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, record HEAT in US, India, PI, Thailand, France, Spain, and others. US advising folks to buy EV to cut pollution while they advise folks to turn their A/C much higher or off as there is not enough electricity being generated by all the A/C's. Just a few comments from the news of the last couple of days and I missed quite a bit too. But some still think global warming doesn't exist
Tedly
You'll get used to the humidity, I don't notice any crime around me in my area. Way more crime in the old country in the west.

Baht Simpson
Crime and Humidity? Wasn't that Fyodor Dostoevsky? 🙂 Seriously though, the worst part of the humidity is getting washing dry.
ThaiFelix
I came to Thailand from Australia over 20 years ago, 10 years teaching in Bangkok, 10 years retired in Isaan. I feel safer here than I did in Australia. But to me the crime is different, in Oz it seems social ("I just wanna bash someone" ) whereas here its economical, the need for money. So I dont flash money around, wear gold, or show my back pocket bulging with a wallet. Never had a problem. Humidity: well that can vary from place to place and time to time both here and in Oz, but never heard of anyone here going troppo.

The variable term Climate Change is used because it’s easier to manipulate the gimmickry. There’s actually cooler lower humidity climates in the farther north and south regions of the planet in case anyone is interested in relocating. I'm new to Thailand and struggling to adjust to the high levels of crime and humidity. I'm from Australia, and I've experienced similar challenges in cities like Darwin and Brisbane. But Thailand seems to be a different story altogether! How do you all handle the crime and humidity here? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Do you think the laid-back Thai culture and beautiful scenery make it all worth it? Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and experiences! Humidity and crime ? That's like comparing Honda's and chili peppers ! I walk on the sunny side of the street .. heat and humidity don't bother me and I would not walk someplace like beach road at 3am wearing gold chain .... ( you get what you ask for )
