2003 stayed 2 months with gf so this was only half the budget as she spent almost the same

So 2 months compared to a couple of days, well done big spender.

I think if you travel 2,83 times to Thailand for delicious food you can eat delicious too in China for that amount of money

Thai food is best in Thailand. Direct flight from Shanghai to Bangkok is only 4 hours 30 minutes for $188. Cheap and easy.

Not much use when they eat the profit margin of "all you can eat" buffets that weren't expecting them to eat "that" much. That said, prawn farmers benefit, obviously.

At least I am being honest and not making up numbers like you do.

Source for your info that they stay for 2 days?

Airfare included in that budget?

Yea....get back to me with your numbers game nonsense when you figure it out.

Chinese delicious food & Thai delicious food are very different.  And for the Chinese it is a giant funpark away from the everwatching eyes of Beijing.

lured by the country’s delectable cuisine and exotic fruits

Yeah I too used to come for the young, delectable exotic fruits...but they are now aged well past their prime, wrinkled sour & bitter. 🤣

They forgot to mention ladyboy shows. It's included i  nearly every Chinese tour. When I show a picture of a lady Thai dancer dressed with the traditional costume to Chinese people, they usually say: ladyboy? 😀
