Clearly you are not following all the posts in thread you started.

A limit of 2 entries per calendar year via air would be ridiculous.

Many folk do not use visa exempt to max out time spent in Thailand.

Many come form nearby countries for very short periods.

Good example Singapore.

A limit of 2 entries via air would be impractical and stupid.

So yes directly related to thread.

This "change" to 60 days for many countries has nothing to do with the countries that had 90 day visa exempt entry.

your anecdotal experience on a different system is irrelevant.

You are now just asserting what you WANT to be true.

As @Caldera posted this above.,

I cut post his post....

"The limits remain unchanged by the ministerial order that went into effect yesterday and that has been published for all to sees so as before, there's a hard limit of two overland visa exempt entries per calendar year, and no official limit for visa exempt entries by air"

Completely correct.

The limit 2 entries per year via air was posted in error even on few Thai consulate sites. Think UK was one.

I arrived in BKK just before midnight on 7/15.  By the time I got to Immigration it was 7/16.  Stamped in as arriving 7/16 good until 9/13.  US passport.

Thanks for confirmation.

Calculator site states...

"Your starting date is June 16, 2021 so that means that 59 days later would be August 14, 2021.

Seems they calculated from Aug 13.

In any event confirms change to visa exempt entry

His arrival was July 16, not June 16, so September 13 is correct for 60 days

Geez. A day either way. .

BTW : he did not arrive July 16

Pedantic for what reason

The point of post from helpful member was that he received 60 day stamp

Geez, guy posted he was stamped in on July 16 with entry until 13 September (which is correct 60 days). You then posted calculator says June 16, a month ago, gives 14 August entry, suggesting he was ripped off a day.

I was simply pointing out you calculated the wrong month

In the Royal Gazette on page 2 article one Brazil is included in the list of countries

whose nationals are not allowed to stay for more than 60 days. It used to be 90 days.
