Forms for concrete piers question

Featured Replies

Apparently they try to rent the forms for the piers before they pour the concrete?   They also sell them 10,000 baht a piece?  Anyone familiar with this  practice?  TIA

Yes they use steel froms in two pieces bolted together. Readily available for rent. We live in Krabi and it is easy to spot the yards with the steel forms stacked up. main problem is that the locals do not vibrate the concrete, although small electic vibrators are available for < Bt 3,000.

You mean like this. On my house the pads are a metre below the floor beams.

Forms for concrete piers question

Yes you can rent them for the Posts and same for the Forms for the foundation Walls if you  need them.

I've seen them using lenghts of Timber/Planks to make the forms for the Tall Posts so they can pour them in one pore.
