Lazy days in bed

How often do you just lay on the bed all day?

Up & walking the dog for the first time by 6:30.....

Lazy days exist = between chores....

Changed my mind today. Bacon n eggs plus exercise bands. 2 sets of push ups.

Lay in bed doing nothing or in bed doing something.  In either case, never for me but I do spend hours in bed each day after waking up.  I have a great setup with a big Screen at the front of the bed attached to a nice mini pc, a nice view of our fish pond, and a kindle on the nightstand. Hard not to sink in and let time roll by each day.  

 

Schedule:

6am -Wakup and my coffee is timed to be hot at 5:30am

6:15am- try to have a bowel movement

6:30am - earlier if unsuccessful with pooping, bootup pc to journal and do whatever I fancy for 1-3 hours.

9:am ish - waddle over to my exercise pain cave and jump on the treadmill or smart bike.  Situps, pushups, etc

11:00 - try to fix something that is broken around the house.  I skip this often

12:00 - Back in bed where partner delivers a whopping lunch full of protein and healthy stuff. I tell her she doesn't have to and I'm capable of making my own but she insists 🙂

12:15 - more internet on the PC and eventually the Kindle and a book to the point it slips out of my hand and I fall asleep for an hour.

3:00 - wakeup and try to fix something or clean.  Eat some processed junk so I'm fueled for the rest of the day's adventures which depending on my training cycle, is usually another run through the hills around the house or if raining back in my pain cave exercise room.  It rains here a lot!!!!

6:00 - a couple drinks and more pc time and reading before bed.  I rarely drink or smoke weed to excess anymore.  I wonder why I do either because I don't even get buzzed. actually quit smoking weed recently.    

 

That is a wrap and as Mr. Rogers would say - Welcome to my world".

 

Not exciting but satisfied I am! Throw in some trips and do some random things each week and my mental state is all good.

Never.  I wake up around 6:30, get out of bed immediately, and don't see the inside of the bedroom again until around 11:30 pm getting ready for bed.

There is just too much to do here in Chiang Mai to waste it lying in bed!

I would be either sick or having a extreme hangover if doing that. Otherwise I could just be lazy doing the same hanging out on some beach or at a pool. I could do it financially if I wanted though. People doing this often are bored in life or depressed or have a bad diet or a combination of those.

What about it? Two air purifiers in the house and an N95 mask when we go out. Our activities don't change much during Burning Season. We still play our sports every day, eat in restaurants, explore new areas. Too much to see and do to just hang around in bed. After 30 years of marriage, we find it OK to just smile and hold hands for a few minutes when waking up in the morning.

My wife leaves at 7:30am for work.

 

Then I pretend to sleep for half an hour then fire up some pr0n on my mobile. So that's extra hour of "sleep" I didn't really need

I get up at 6am because I have to teach Science online at 6.30am. These are Chinese students who have emigrated from China and now live in Vancouver, Canada.  So the timezone is a bit of a problem, but at least it's not in the middle of the night. After teaching I fast-walk for about 2 hours, then have a light breakfast and then back to teaching students in the Asian time-zones. Various breaks throughout the day and last lessons around 11pm for emigrated Russian students who now live in the UK. Spain etc.

 

Some day I'll retire, but I enjoy teaching, so retirement age will probably be around 99 years old 🙂
