Hi. When I was living in Thailand for many years previously, I used to do the 90-day report online. However, I left Thailand for one year and just came back here this September. On 29 Sep 2024 I received a one-year temporary extension of stay at Chaengwattana and was informed that my 90-day report would be due on 28 Dec 2024.
I just tried to report online as before, but I got this reply:
For first-time requests of a 90-day notification in each country visit, in-person presentation at the immigration office is required.
I will go to the immigration office this week for the 90-notification. Could I handle this at the Chamchuri (where I have never been before) or would I be required to go to Chaengwattana? Thanks.
Engage the brain, I didn't write the opinion piece. In any case it's actually referring to Musk and his brief to reduce Fed expenditure. Plus of course conflict of interests.
I just kept using my Elder MRT card. I've topped it up several times in the past few months. No new card required. I don't think I'm getting the discount any more, but it's still cheap transport. And if I ever leave Thailand for good, I'll give it away with whatever baht are left on it.
Edit: I don't know for sure whether I still get the discount. I assumed that since the card is tied to my foreign passport, their system would be smart enough to debit the correct amount.
