I'm looking for a commercial potting soil that can be purchased online that is good for starting really small seeds such as Sweet Basil seeds.  The local nurseries carry brands that are simply too course for seed propagation.  Right at the moment I've got a ton of volunteer Thai Basil in my yard but it sucks for pesto and Italian cooking which I do a lot of.  So I want to get enough Sweet Basil going in the yard so that it will volunteer like the Thai Basil.  But I've got to get it started first (which I'm trying to do this year) and have had lousy luck using local, course commercial dirt to get those tiny seeds started.

Yes,l know what you're thinking. Unless the seeds are expensive I wouldn't bother with fancy stuff like that. Get a well prepared seed bed and sow thinly, just gently press the seeds into the ground and water. 5 - 7 days later, hey presto.
