Thai doctor vows to create "Hitler Room" to gas hospital smokers
Yes, and they should be able to collect that fine right after they collect all the other fines they don't enforce. -

What's going on with Dave Bautista?
By definition, if you know nothing of Bautista, you're ignorant. That may be your opinion but it is certainly not factual. But what is that "by definition" definition, anyway? -

Air conditioner is dripping water, is that normal?
All mine have condensation lines incorporated into the line set on the left of the picture, I highly doubt that that has been forgotten, though it may be plugged. -

The easier way is to ban smoking in the hospital and it’s grounds or pay a 10,000 baht on the spot fine if caught this is the way most of the world has gone you can’t smoke in public places but as normal Thailand is years behind -

Must Read Its Happening - Law to Tax Overseas Income Now in Progress
I was just seeing the a senior of the local Tax Revenue office on my shopping exercise and immediately recognized me and was just generally bringing up this issue, once again and he stated what new forms and also mentioned again that not employed in Thailand and was asking do I need a Tin but do have a pink card. He seemed to not know nothing about the new forms and rumored to be printed Oct/Nov Suggested I just sit tight and it appears you will not be required to file a tax form but it depends who one talks too and all have their own opinions but many are unaware of this ex-pat tax issue, Yes, indeed just going to hang fire and not do anything and have calculated near the thresholds and allowances -

Air conditioner is dripping water, is that normal?
As others have said, it appears that there isn't a drain pipe, however I doubt that would be the problem as it looks more like condensation to me. There should be two brass nuts in sight, I have been known to get on a stool while the A/C was running on one unit, sitting exactly like yours, high up on the wall, and getting a shifting spanner to turn one gently until the condensation stopped. Try that, if that fails, call the installer, no doubt he will want at least 500 baht to come out for what could be a simple job as I pointed out. Let us know if that works will yah. -

Man Rescued After Being Trapped in Elevator for Two Hours Due to Power Outage During Storm
I think most of us in Thailand have gotten into lifts where it is so hot you dread the thought of being stuck. Usually in the west is a small hole high up where you fit a key a bit like you use to bleed radiators in your home to release door lock -

Trump's Proposed Mortgage Ban for Undocumented Immigrants Sparks Debate
I completely agree, my cousin is an immigration attorney in Miami, and he tells me that top MIT graduates who finish their programs in nuclear physics, can't get a visa to work for an American company within the US. So they either need to go work for that American company overseas, or they need to work for another company overseas. Either way it's a huge brain drain away from the US. He also tells me that the quota system is 70 years old and is in drastic need of updating, especially for the higher qualified people with great expertise. The less educated amongst us and the ones who gorge on podcasts and engage in memes, do not want to look into this and do not want to educate themselves on what is a very serious issue in regard to immigration. -

in Australia it is opaque intentionally. If you look at the ATO data matching initiatives they are scarcely documented. The AUSTRAC tracking is also not very well documented. Many people don't know that AUSTRAC does NOT record and track foreign ATM withdrawals. The CRS data exchange formats are standardized but afaik there are no universal rules how the data is collected. I suspect that every country will try to send as little as possible CRS data, and receive as much as possible. -

As I understand it.....if it goes into your Thai bank account it is potentially taxable.....cash from the ATM is not. -
