Payment of Pattaya Electric Bill
I sometimes pay electricity bills for people I know who get stuck. If you have a Kasikorn Account all you need is a bill showing the "CA Ref No 1" number that's also on the actual Electricity Meter. Then you simply try to pay the Bill using "Payments" in the app and it tells you about the latest bill. If there's arrears, you simply try to pay again and pay whatever's owing. When it finally says there is no bill, you've finished. No other app, passport or any hassle from officials is necessary. This repeated payment process also works for MEA & water bills and for post paid mobile phone bills. I've even paid outstanding AXA life insurance bills for Thais using their Customer Number (Ref No, 1). The number 2 Ref is usually the payment date but it's sometimes in American format. Most of the time you can put a mobile phone number there instead of the proper Ref No. 2. It really is so easy. I can't understand why anyone has any problems paying anything. At worst you could use the QR code on the bill to pay or even a person by PromptPay or receive money by using your own QR code in the K+ app. -

British Embassy Faces Rising Consular Case Demands in Thailand
We have to pay a lot of tax for the health service in the UK. When I worked in Oz a condition of my work visa was that my employer had to show that they had health insurance for me, that doesn't happen in the UK. -

Non Immigrant O Visa - need for onwards ticket?
This takes me back, got my visa in 2005. Then an email from TG after booking one way flight saying I would not be able to fly without an ongoing ticket. They ignored emails and phone calls so in the end went to their office in London to ask why not. Nobody in the office except staff, phone ringing all the time not answered- they did not know so rang TG staff at Heathrow who said no problem. They lied and said the rules had just been changed, only travelled with them once after that, customer service was a joke and looks like it still is. -

Kalasin Amphur?
If it's a rural amphur, probably. So Amphur Somdet? It's probably a walk-in and your hitched. All that's left is consummating the marriage. -

Non Immigrant O Visa - need for onwards ticket?
Thanks. Would be great if there was any official information available online, but there does not seem to be. When filling out my visa application I was asked to enter a departure date as the visa is a 90 day visa. This is a bit confusing and can lead one to believe there is need for a ticket out of Thailand. I opted for the single entry as I figure I can change this when I get my 1 year extension. The email with my visa does state "Airlines may ask for the details of this e-mail so they can carry out checks to allow you to board the plane", so that in a way indicates that an onward ticket is not needed.
