The FBI conducted a raid on the upstate New York home of Scott Ritter, a former United Nations weapons inspector, as part of a federal investigation. While the specifics of the investigation remain undisclosed, an FBI spokesperson confirmed that the raid took place at Ritter's Delmar residence.

The spokesperson did not provide further details, citing the ongoing nature of the investigation. Ritter, who has a criminal record, later revealed to reporters outside his home that the search warrant was related to possible violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA). This law requires individuals who act on behalf of foreign entities in the United States to disclose their relationship to the U.S. government.

The raid on Ritter’s home follows a series of events that have drawn attention to his activities and associations. Recently, Ritter had his passport confiscated by the U.S. Department of State when he attempted to travel to Russia for a conference. Ritter, who has been vocal in his support of Russia, claimed in an article on the Russian state-run media outlet RT that the seizure of his passport was a punitive action against his pro-Russian stance.

The timing of the raid is notable, occurring just one day after Ritter was seen in the company of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., an independent presidential candidate. The two were together in Albany, where Kennedy was attending a court hearing related to his campaign's efforts to appear on the New York ballot in the upcoming November election. Ritter shared a photo on social media of himself and Kennedy, captioning it "Burgers with Bobby!" The image appeared to have been taken at the Recovery Sports Grill, a bar and restaurant in Albany's Hilton Garden Inn.

Ritter’s past has been marred by legal troubles. In 2011, he was convicted of engaging in explicit online conversations with a detective who was posing as a 15-year-old girl. This conviction led to Ritter serving approximately two and a half years in prison. Additionally, in 2001, Ritter faced accusations of inappropriate behavior with teenage girls. One of these incidents involved arranging a meeting at a Burger King with someone he believed to be a 16-year-old girl. The charges in that case were ultimately dismissed.

Ritter gained prominence in the 1990s as a weapons inspector in Iraq, where he was involved in international efforts to dismantle Saddam Hussein's weapons of mass destruction. However, he resigned from his position in 1998, citing disagreements with U.S. policy. Since then, Ritter has become a vocal critic of American foreign policy, particularly in the lead-up to the Iraq War. In recent years, he has increasingly aligned himself with Russia. In 2022, Ritter's Twitter account was temporarily suspended after he made controversial claims that Ukrainian police, rather than Russian forces, were responsible for the deaths of hundreds of civilians in the Kyiv suburb of Bucha.

Kennedy, when questioned about his decision to associate with Ritter, expressed admiration for Ritter's foreign policy views. "I admire his stance on foreign policy, on trying to keep this country out of unending war," Kennedy explained. Ritter is not the first controversial figure with whom Kennedy has been associated. Kennedy has admitted to flying on Jeffrey Epstein's private plane on two occasions, although he denied witnessing any inappropriate behavior.

He has also acknowledged knowing other notorious individuals, including Harvey Weinstein, Roger Ailes, O.J. Simpson, and Bill Cosby. In a March interview, Kennedy recounted his interactions with these figures, further highlighting the complex and often controversial nature of his personal associations.

This recent raid on Ritter’s home adds another layer to the ongoing scrutiny surrounding his activities and associations. As the federal investigation continues, the implications of this raid and its connection to Ritter's pro-Russian stance remain to be seen.

Oh my God! This is yet another Democrats' witch hunt!

Golly, and he's a mate of Robert F Kennedy Jr. (who - if the above report is correct - is as stupid and generally dubious as his appearances in the Presidential race would suggest).

Ritter predicted a 'huge' Russian victory a year ago. Meanwhile Ukraine is barreling into Putin's precious homeland at will!!! He is just another vodka soaked Russian troll who gleefully bends over for manly Putin...
