Pigeon dilemma

On cleaning my front balcony, with my Chinese made Karcher pressure washer, I came across a baby pigeon crouching there, with a bleeding cut on the back of its head, just about breathing.

It obviously had fallen off our roof where maybe 50 of the dirty sods live, defecate (there is that better?) , and make noise.

My Mrs, a good Buddhist who goes to the temple every non-booze day, with bowls of rice and food, no smoke, no drink, and she said to throw it in the paddy field opposite our house.

My 3 year old said, its OK, its breathing.

I put it in the middle of our lawn, where it started to move a bit. Leave it to the local dogs.
