Police in Surat Thani, Thailand have arrested two individuals and confiscated 404,000 methamphetamine pills after an exciting car pursuit. The two suspects, 31-year-old Suriyen and 25-year-old Sitthipong, were captured as they tried to evade the police.

The operation was overseen by Surat Thani Governor Jetsada Jitrat, who also serves as the Director of the Provincial Internal Security Operations Command (ISOC). Colonel Thitipong Inwasa, the Deputy Commander of the 45th Military Circle and Deputy Director of ISOC Surat Thani, teamed up with Regional 8 Police investigators to execute the arrests.

Police had received a tip about a planned drug transfer on Southern Road in the Kanchanadit district. As a result, they set up a surveillance operation. It wasn't long before they spotted the suspects' black Toyota pickup truck parked on the street, its hazard lights blinking. When the police tried to arrest them, the driver, Suriyen, attempted to escape, resulting in a car chase. Police shot at the vehicle's tires, causing them to burst, which led to the suspects' capture. Sitthipong was apprehended while trying to run away.

The truck held sacks filled with meth pills when searched. During the interrogation, both men confessed to owning the drugs and claimed they had more stashed at a local house. A subsequent search led to the discovery of a total of 404,000 meth pills.

Suriyen said he was told by a person named Wanchai, also known as Luang Neung, to collect the pills and hide them. The task would earn him 50,000 baht. Meanwhile, Sitthipong said he was invited by Suriyen to help deliver the drugs, with the promise of getting paid 5,000 baht if the task was successful. This deal led to their arrest.

After their confessions, police proceeded with the legal process against the pair.
