Giant Python Causes Stir After Laying Eggs, Locals Seek Lottery No.

At 06:30, on August 15, reporters received a report from the Sawang Rojanatham Sathan Sattahip Rescue Foundation. The rescue team was called by Petty Officer First Class Sakchai Suwanphet, 55, of the Marine Corps Support Department, after a large python invaded his property at house number Moo 2, Sattahip. The snake had entered his chicken coop and eaten one of his valuable fighting roosters.

Upon arrival, rescuers found the chicken coop made of wood and steel mesh. Inside the nesting area, a 3-metre-long python was coiled up, replacing the mother hen and lying on her eggs. The snake, having consumed the prized rooster worth several thousand baht, was too full to move. The rescue team skillfully caught the snake by grabbing its head and successfully released it back into the wild.

During the rescue, the team discovered a single egg outside the nest. Upon lifting the python, they found two clusters of eggs inside the nest, one with four eggs and another with seven, totaling 12 eggs. This sparked excitement among the homeowner and witnesses, who began interpreting these numbers as potential lucky lottery numbers. As the news spread, lottery ticket sales surged in Sattahip's local markets.
