Don’t kill the golden goose! Tax reforms may drive away expats
Sure. I declared myself a non resident. It is not that difficult. I own a property in Toronto that I rent out and CRA takes 25% of my profit as a non resident. I would rather be a resident for tax purposes considering all the breaks and money I would get from Trudeau, but my accountant advised me after 2 years living in Thailand to start filing as non resident. CBSA tracks your ins and outs of the country and does report to CRA. -

Suphan Buri: Subdistrict Administrative Member Caught Exploiting 12-Year-Old Girl
What is wrong with you? Why make such a statement? If anything foreigners who support wives and girlfriends who inturn support families prevent this from happening. Whereas Thai men running off leaving their wife and child causes this to happen. In a country with no support for vulnerable and unemployed these things happen. Desperation! No money no food = starvation and death. -

The study of Multi tasking
Multitasking is being able to roger someone doggie style and still give them a reach around at the same time. P.S. Bob Smith asked me to post that for him. -

Plug and Play Solar
The most simple and also most expensive option that I know is to buy a power station like an Ecoflow and then plug in their panels. You can then plug stuff in like it was a generator Shop on shopee https://th.shp.ee/NraEZrg -

Trump Harris: Who won the debate ?
Pence faced tremendous pressure to refuse to certify the result of the election. His refusal to do so was wise and courageous, had he refused things could have got very ugly. He defunded Planned Parenthood, which was an excellent decision. Pence had cast 13 tie-breaking votes, seventh-most in history and more than his previous four predecessors (Joe Biden, Dick Cheney, Al Gore and Dan Quayle) cast combined (Cheney broke eight ties, Gore broke four ties, and Quayle and Biden did not cast a tie-breaking vote) Pence took a stance against the ludicrous kneeling in sports games. Very well done. But yes, I take the point, he was also relatively inactive. -

KFC in decline?
KFC, Mickie D's, BK - all the same. The smell is oh so tempting, but when you actually bite into the meal, you realize what a mistake you just made. The only item I truly enjoy is the double fish filet. Thailand is one of the few countries that offer it, and it's the main reason I stay here. -

The Urgent Need for EU Expansion: A Strategic Imperative for Survival
Your link provides an interesting and balanced article. Germany certainly appears to have its fair share of problems and a weak Germany cannot be good for the EU. However, does this foretell the break-up of the EU? Imo no. Firstly, while it is undeniable that right-wing, anti-EU parties are gaining ground, their polling numbers are still relatively small (<40%). Secondly, a number of the more prominent right-wing parties e.g. 'Friends of Italy' and 'National Rally' in France no longer call for their respective countries to leave the EU. Brexit did damage, both to the UK and the EU, but will it be seen as the catalyst for the latter's eventual demise? Time will tell but imo no, as I hope and believe that the EU can survive. -

Water Tank Float Valves
Well, I replaced this: with this:in one of the ground floor tanks today, and from what I can tell, it's working great so far. Advantages: 1. Much better flow, which was a surprise 2. About a 15% increase in tank capacity 3. Shuts of quickly and completely 4. Quieter 5. Easier installation 6. About half the price 7. Much smaller and lighter. Disadvantages: None so far, but the old brass valves did work fine for five or six years, and when it did get stuck, it was easy enough to fix. The plastic valve uses a diaphragm to open and close, which may be more susceptible to debris. Given the how lightweight the valve is, I may install a mesh filter inside the tank before the valve. Likely this: I have these before the hose-bibbs I use for the pressure-washer, and they seem to be cheap and reliable. -

'Love tourists': Single men travelling overseas to find a bride
Bride hunting has been going on for ever. Poles, Russians, Slovenians, Ukrainians, etc etc. I worked with a guy in Tokyo back in the early '90's. He was almost retired. His Russian wife was in her mid to late 30's. Drop dead gorgeous lady and and they had lots of sex. They had two children together. His only complaint, she never stopped nagging him. -
