passport required for domestic flights? I have a Thai DL
Hope that works for you. For me (Chiangmai), I had no option other than to do it by mail to Bangkok......as there are no appointments available at the CM US Consulate for adult passport renewals. Presuming the Bangkok Embassy will immediately give you back your old passport, won't it have a hole punched in it? And, if so, will a domestic airline care about that? I don't know. -

agent to renew driving licence
I was going to use Mots, 5000 baht for both car and bike (3500 for one new licence or 3000 for one renewal). I like how they pick-up and drop-off at your door. https://www.mots-services.com/ -

Electric Vehicles in Thailand
Trolls regularly join this discussion and try to hijack it by turning it into a discussion about EV fires or some rumor about something that might have happened to a possible EV in China. My experience is that such trolls are generally poorly informed about the facts about EVs and just believe the disinformation produced by the fossil fuel industry, legacy automakers and far right conspiracy nuts without question. After over 8.5k posts here we are pretty bored trying to talk sense into these people. There is a discussion for EV v ICE cars. There is a discussion for EV and ICE car fires. There is a discussion about why all Chinese cars are rubbish. If that’s what you want to talk about, please join one of those discussions. If you have a sensible question about EVs in Thailand then ask it here, otherwise you will quickly find yourself being ignored. -

Breaking an Engagement to a Thai woman, does she keep the ring?
I fully agree. The cheapskate should let her keep the ring! The Op hasn't been back... but any decision to keep 'assets' is dependent on the reason for the decision to no-longer go-ahead with the marriage. For example - had she been caught 'playing around' triggering the reason not to go ahead, why should she financially profit with an expensive item of jewellery ? Equally, so, if this is a respectable female, who now faces some embarrassment just because the Op 'changed his mind on a whim' then it could be argued the ring is hers and was a gift. Its not about being a cheapskate or otherwise, in many cases it could be about principle.
