Liz Cheney: Conservatives may need a new party

Former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) indicated in an interview at The Capital Times Idea Fest in Madison, Wisc., that conservatives could end up forming a new kind of conservative party, arguing that “far too much has happened that’s too damaging” in the Republican Party.

in simple terms...the war mongers are on the left now. 

 

who in their right mind would gush about an endorsement from dick cheny or any cheny for that matter ? the biggest war mongers out there. no bid contracts hahah i love it. 

 

yes i know this is about liz but if people cannot see the correlation then that's something they personally need to work on.

Excuse my lack of knowledge, but what has Liz Cheney call for a more moderate conservative party formation got to to with the left and "war mongers". Both Cheney's have now disavowed their prior support for sponsoring armed conflict. in M.E. Admittedly after a number of grievous judgement calls.

I had to google uniparty.  Never heard of it.  The first sentence included the names Ralph Nader and Steve Bannon and that's all I needed to know.  🤡

I did not support the fake WMD war against Iraq and Dick Chaney. 
 

I also have never supported a con man like the Donald. But Liz Cheney is one of the few to call the Donald a disgrace. 
 

I wish we had a true Republican Party as the true Republicans like me must vote for Kamala to avoid the mass disaster of the Donald cult. MAGA cult members are naive and act weird. They love a weird acting man who lacks integrity and character. 
 

I never imagined a USA that would allow an orange make up face com man to control and memorize a large group of adults who dress up like fools and yell Fight Fight Fight and support January 6 traitors.

Well said. Given that Liz was humiliated in the vote that ousted her would any sensible conservative want to be associated with her?

 

BTW, I assume this is an attempt to form a grouping that she can control, in some folorn attempt to get back into congress.

 

Whatever, she is as vile as her father and the further they are kept from influence the better.

Liz Cheney is one of the few sane (and courageous) conservatives left.  And she's right.  To be honest, conservatives do have some good and reasonable ideas.  Things like fiscal responsibility, law and order, free market/free trade, family values, freedom/personal responsibility, etc.  But Trump has totally destroyed the GOP to where real conservatives have no place.  Trump needs to lose in November and lose big so the Republican Party can start to rebuild again before it's too late.

Yes, I hear she wants to call her new party the "Total War Party". It will be funded by the military industrial complex and the son of Colin Powell will do a presentation to explain the need for instant invasion of Russia, due to Ukrainian babies found tortured in incubators there and forced to assemble weapons of mass destruction.

I've been waiting for something like this.  They will either form a new party, or will have to ferret out the MAGA element: all GOP members will have to get DNA swabs of their lips in search of DNA from DT's hindquarters.  If DT loses both the election and his buffoonery with the courts this year there may emerge a new MAGA without the orange facepaint, and IMO in such case he may leave the USA for a much better place, like Russia or Bellarus (*wink*).

Even though Liz C. is a champion for flushing this stuff down the tubes I dread her assent to the top of what the GOP will become.  Her mother (who, reputedly, is just about as much of a sweetie as her father) writes books about patriotism and Christian faith.  Be sure that if Liz is involved in forming this new party mama will have an influence.

 

In the meantime IMO there is a pretty good chance  that if DT gets inaugurated there will be a palace revolt, reducing DT to a figurehead, led by the same entity that is stuffing the pockets of SCOTUS and choosing the judges.  Liz will be sent to a gulag.
