Frozen in time: British expats losing out on pensions in Thailand
The frozen pension policy has been around for about 70 years. You're just hijacking the conversation with anti US rhetoric. -

I enjoyed this bit of truth as well im sure trump gave his diaper a squirt and I’m sure threats and tweets are in the offing. The truth about his verbal vomit hurts I guess.for the life of me I cannot understand how people don’t see him for what he is. -

Arrived in Thailand w/ 90 day non O visa
Correct. You extended your 90 day entry and the 12 month extension starts when the 90 day entry ends. -

BOI Wealthy Pensioner LTVor continue OA extensions
I probably know over 50 people who have switched from an O or OA visa extensions to the LTR wealthy pensioner. Not a single person has been unhappy with the switch, for the 50Kfee, you get a 10-year visa, with the 5-year permits to stay stamp, and a 5-year multiple reentry permit. the LTR Visa is a great fit if you qualify, the insurance requirements are half that of an OA You apply online through the ltr/boi website here https://ltr.boi.go.th/ You don't have to wait for you to be back inside Thailand to begin the application process, right now I believe it's taking between 4 and 6 weeks for the approvals.- 1

Watch: Man Sparks Outrage by Smashing $4,000 Autographed Taylor Swift Guitar
I am proud to say that I have never actually heard this woman sing, but I can only assume, from the outfits she wears and the romantic company she keeps, that her songs are at an appropriate level of competence and taste..... -

Frozen in time: British expats losing out on pensions in Thailand
It's long been my opinion this is the preferable way of life for British pensioners. Summer in the UK, winter in Thailand. Maintain your pension rights, access the NHS, etc Get the best of all worlds. Why not?- 1

Feel sorry for AN posters who bought electric
I installed solar over 6 years ago to power my house off-grid. ฿5,000 a month electric bill x 12months x 6years = ฿360,000 @NoDisplayName The cost of solar varies wildly. If you opt for a “supply and fit” the installer will charge you a markup on the components as well as the cost of installation. I purchased the components myself and was only charged for ancillaries and installation 5,000 Watts of PV @ ฿5/W = ฿25,000 5kW of Inversion @ ฿5k/kW = ฿25,000 Total = ฿50,000 If you are charged more than ฿100,000 for a 5kW system you are definitely being ripped off. I agree with @Gweiloman installing solar just to power an EV and a few lights won’t give you good utilization and so a long payback time.- 1

Frozen in time: British expats losing out on pensions in Thailand
Again, it comes down to cost. I priced my stenting procedure at Spire Hospitals in the UK and at Bumrungrad. Spires wanted 13k Pounds, plus plus, plus airfare and accomodation. Bumrungrad wanted under 4K Pounds. -

Watch: Man Sparks Outrage by Smashing $4,000 Autographed Taylor Swift Guitar
Another case of “more money than sense” But when performing such a stunt forget the hammer grab the guitar by the neck and smash it on the stage for a more dramatic break up.
