I did the 26 weeks thing for many years, but too old to be messing around like than now. It's either there or here and I can't afford there without a pension.

Do they want you to actually be present, or just maintain an address there? Can you buy a small property and pay taxes and would that be good enough? Requiring physical presence feels a bit odd.

According to the WIPO statistics Singapore has more residential patents per 1 million population than UK.

 

Three out of the top four nations in the rankings are from Asia - South Korea, Japan and China.

 

Most of the innovations these days are incremental, long gone are the days of the fundamental discoveries.

 

Anyway, being proud of country and race is popular with the low class...as they have nothing else to be proud of.

In fact what this thread has shown is that those who are nationalists and proud of whtie culture are remarkably restrained, logical and reasonable.

Don't base your opinion of Brits to the ones in Thailand.

To the objective observer, not so much. Americans were always better. No British comedian ever came close to Bill Hicks, Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy, Chris Rock, Dave Chapelle, Steve Martin. Americans are way better.

 

In the past maybe, you had a number of top acts, John Cleese, Rick Mayall, Rowan Atkinson, Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie in their prime.
