Thailand’s Bold Move: Decriminalising Sex Work Sparks National Debate
Better criminalised but largely tolerated than legalised but heavily regulated. This is especially true of course if legalisation means criminalising one side of the transaction ("Nordic model"). -

Field trips don’t hurt students, poorly-maintained transport does : PM
Before I get my Retirement O, I used to rely on Tourist Visa(from Thai Embassy in Vientiane, Lao). Back then, I always travelled by bus. Sometimes, the driver advised passengers to stay away from the vehicle during the refueling(natural gas) stop; precaution against possible explosion. Every time I hear that, I grabbed my stuff and dashed out of the cabin immediately. And watched how it goes from at least 100m away... Later, a friend of mine(retired Thai engineer) told me that that it could happen only when the fuel system is ill-fitted. -

Thailand’s Bold Move: Decriminalising Sex Work Sparks National Debate
I have seen those and sampled them. However I didn’t know any of those women were posting on this forum. The Russians get away with it by obtaining an entertainers work permit. No sure about the Africans that could also be found in Pattaya, halfway down walking street near where the ladyboys usually give you a free fondle. -

She is absolutely right. The word maintenance does not exist in Thailand because they would rather squeeze the last satang from a vehicle before having to spend anything on it. -

Traffic Camera Fine Wrong
I entered the intersection, most likely when the light was orange but it was not safe to stop suddenly as the car behind me in the photo was too close and he may have collided with me. Entering an intersection on an orange light is not illegal. The traffic in front of me was moving but stopped suddenly when a car decided to try to turn right or do a uturn up ahead and there was not enough room for traffic to get past it. So, nothing illegal there as I entered the intersection with traffic moving in front of me. As far as @motdaeng and his comment, I do know better and post something intelligent instead of attacking the man next time. -

Thailand’s Bold Move: Decriminalising Sex Work Sparks National Debate
So no link of any Thai official claiming that there is no prostitution in Thailand as you stated. I didn’t think so. -

Thailand’s Bold Move: Decriminalising Sex Work Sparks National Debate
As the absolute vast majority of the sex industry is to supply the demand from Thai's it seems to be a no brainer. There are no sex tourists where I live but there are many establishments catering for the local population. Those pretending that it doesn't exist are living in denial and in a different world from reality. -

Help on "Retirement Visa"
I also need advice to prepare for my second Retirement Visa Extension. I’m getting things in order for my second retirement visa extension next June. I received my first extension in June, and I recently completed my first 90-day report. I plan to spend 400k of my 800k but will top it back up 2 months before my next extension application. My question is about my bank history—since I live 100km round trip from the only Bangkok Bank in my province (it’s in a busy market with no parking), I haven’t updated my bank book since getting my extension in June. Will this be an issue when I apply for my next extension next June? Also, my bank book in the past sometimes showed transaction summaries instead of individual ones. I know I can get a bank statement—will this be enough as proof? Thanks in advance for any advice.
