Foul-Smelling Trail of Feces Found in Thai Parliament
Picture courtesy: Thai Rath On October 2, 2024, an alarming incident occurred inside Thailand's Parliament building, leaving many shocked and disgusted. A long trail of feces was discovered in the first-floor hallway of the MPs' wing, stretching from the elevator near the souvenir shop to the restroom entrance by the cafeteria. The mess created an unsightly scene and emitted a foul odor that spread throughout the area, affecting everyone nearby. The situation was first noticed in the early morning, as reporters and staff arrived at the building. Housekeeping staff were quickly called to the scene, where they were seen sweating profusely as they worked to clean up the offensive trail. Despite their efforts, the strong odor lingered, leaving many to wonder about the source of the mess. It remains unclear who is responsible for the incident, as no witnesses have come forward with information. The bizarre occurrence has raised concerns about security and sanitation within the Parliament complex, with many calling for a thorough investigation. This unexpected and unpleasant event has certainly left a lasting impression on all who were present that day. Picture courtesy: Thai Rath -- 2024-10-03 -

Thailand’s Bold Move: Decriminalising Sex Work Sparks National Debate
A little personal insight from my years of indulging in such delights is that it's too 'easy'. there's no 'value' to it. (IMHO). -

Teen Dispute Escalates into Gunfire: 1 Dead, 4 Injured in Samut Prakan Attack
An altercation between teenagers at 21.30 on October 2, in Samut Prakan ended in a violent attack involving automatic weapons, leaving one dead and four injured. The incident occurred on Sriwareenoi Road in Srisajorrakhenoi Subdistrict, Bang Sao Thong District. Police from the Bang Sao Thong Police Station responded to the scene, finding a white Toyota sedan riddled with more than 30 bullet holes. The driver, later identified as 30-year-old Mr. Praphot, was found unresponsive. Despite efforts by emergency personnel to revive him, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Among the injured were one woman and three men, who were promptly taken to the hospital for emergency treatment. Eyewitnesses reported that the two groups had exchanged gunfire while driving along the road. The Toyota’s rear tyres were shot out, immobilising the car before gunmen from another vehicle fired repeatedly, leaving bullet casings scattered across the scene. 9mm handgun and assault rifle shells were found, prompting authorities to cordon off the area for further forensic investigation. A witness recounted that the attack appeared to stem from an unresolved dispute. It’s believed that the victim’s group, consisting of seven individuals in two vehicles, had planned to meet with the other group to settle a disagreement. However, the situation quickly escalated into gunfire before any discussion could occur. Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the motive behind the attack. Two Friends in Drunken Dispute: One Knocked Unconscious After Argument Turns Violent
More weed mongering. Maryjane not a harmless drug. I know someone went completely schizo on it, had to go to the loony bin. Tis just a sad case of 2 guys who never shouldve took to the drink in the first place; too many unresolved emotional traumas + hair trigger temper + cheap booze = tragedy. -

Why should she lose the money... she is only the delivery rider? If the order is taken, and agreed a COD method, then it's the companies loss. -

Thai gov. to tax (remitted) income from abroad for tax residents starting 2024 - Part II
This is not about the difficulty of enforcement, it's solely about whether it is assessable or not. As I said at the outset, there is little consensus on any aspect of Thai tax so different people will have different opinions, I have given you mine. -

Is Thailand Value for money
Thailand is good value for the drunks and their 100 Bhat booze, the 150 bhat food plate in the food court that will fill one table spoon, the cheap soapy and prostutes in some remonte village perhaps ?... and the seedy hotel room. But definately not any more for shopping, fine dining or traveling as other countries like Spain, Cyprus or Malta can beat the Thai prices in many aspects.
