Working As A Music Arranger

Featured Replies

Hi there guys and gals . . . .

how can I legally work as music arranger in Thailand?

It doesn't appear on any 'forbidden' lists

I work freelance in the UK, with clients worldwide and can carry on doing so anywhere with internet access.

I am married to a Thai and planning on relocating to thailand next year.

Would like to be above board, but not sure it's doable without a lot of expenditure.

Could I start a business in wifes name and 'employ' 3 family members?

What percentage of my turnover would this cost?

Can I do this from a Thai home like I do here in England?

Thanks

David

As long as you don't stray into Thai music, you should be ok.

For the 3 family members, you better make sure they are around in case someone comes to check up on you, and they better be able to do the type of work you specify. Won't cost you much but impossible to say as I have no idea what kind of turnover you make.

And if all your clients are overseas, I'm not so sure a Thai business registration is even required.
