The RTP officer in charge sided with us on all four incidents, at least the traffic officer in charge definitely knows the laws and applied them correctly. So either they only have a few officers with enough knowledge of the Thai laws, or they are blatantly ignoring the lawbreaking, and refusing to do their jobs. I think you were lucky to find a RTP who new the Law, in my experience they just blatantly do not want to their job, take the easy way out

All very well but this is going off topic I wonder why Thai hospitals have ISO certification and schools don't By implementing ISO 45001:2018 certification, you receive proof of your organizations ongoing commitment to the health and safety. do schools have a safety officer ??

When I complained about an issue with seatbelts disabled on a school minibus at my daughters school, they didn't seem to have a safety officer, so I would say "no".

Provincial private education offices have also been instructed to review trips and cancel any deemed unsafe. Vehicle inspections...... weren't they already in place? The presence of parents will achieve what? Limiting travel distances could help reduce risks slightly Travel insurance will help how? Emergency drill....good idea if done properly and regularly Official permission? People were just taking kids away? Review and cancel......good idea if they know what they are doing. Let's prey whatever they do....... the children will be safe(r).

Think that needs to change especially with kids involved, again this is lack of enforcement and training Schools are the perfect place for kids to be aware of safety

I just selected part of your post for my reply, but I understand and agree with what you are saying overall. As far as I can tell, there were just 6 staff members looking after about 30 kids aged 4-14. That does not seem like sufficient staff to evacuate a bus in an emergency. Maybe recruiting some parents to help is not a bad idea.

Maybe recruiting some parents to help is not a bad idea. Staffing ratios should be fixed (UK is, or used to be 8:1, unless it is a term-time ski trip then management have to go and it drops to 1:1).....parents cannot be counted as part of the staffing ratio......it is recognised that in any traumatic event they will focus on one thing only....their own child/children.....but they can certainly go and help....but they cannot be counted upon come the crunch.
