Why halt legal immigration? What will that do besides depress the economy and possibly extend the white majority voting block for one more term before they are overwhelmed? I suspect that's the real motive. Got a better reason for stopping migration? Don't try on the myth that those jobs would be filled by US citizens, we know that isn't true.

Careful what you wish for. Economists have warned that Trump;s immgration policies will lead to lower economic growth. Just stop and think what will happen without immigrants and their children in the US labor force. I am talking about more than a million exiting the labor force. What kind of negative implications for growth and inflation. Immigration is been hijacked by Trump for political leverage. Total deportation is not the solution. Working together for comprehensive border bills are the solution.

Who cares. We know that Rasmussen is on the right leaning side of things as ABC-Ipsos poll is on the left leaning side of things. This is why sites that take the average of numerous polls are more likely to be more accurate. As for a reason one is given in the article. If this is the case or not who knows.
