Would anyone know what it would take for 'my wife' to sell on Shoppee, Lazada, Facebook? Any sort of license needed? Anything like a DBA? Can taxes be filed by herself, no incorporation?

Second question. Same question, but for a shop. I believe a business license needed bc I see them displayed everywhere. Incorporating this would need annual corporate tax filing. Anything else? Just the basics would be great.

Starting a selling venture on platforms like Shopee, Lazada, or Facebook can be straightforward. Generally, your wife might not need a formal business license for online sales, but it’s good to check local regulations since they vary. A DBA might be helpful if she wants to operate under a different name, but it’s usually not mandatory.

Starting an online shop can feel like a wild ride, but it is exciting, too! First off, I’d say focus on what you love to sell. When you're passionate about it, that energy shines through. Also, don’t forget about your audience. Understanding who they are can help you tailor your shop to meet their needs.
Ensure your website is user-friendly; no one likes getting lost in a maze! And if you're feeling stuck on ideas or strategies, check out resources like houseofcompanies.io . They’ve got some great insights for small businesses. Remember, every big business started small, so keep at it, and don't be afraid to learn from your mistakes.

I'm sure "wild west golden age" of unregistered online selling is long time over.

Friend from Cyber Crime Div. told me that evading paying taxes on online sales will only bring unexpected surprises in the future.

So, yes "your wife" have to "go legal"

Also market places like Lasada and Shopee won't pay her unless she is properly registered.

Facebook? Last resort for papa-mama cosmetics and smuggled Birkin bags. Payment to "her" bank account and zero responsibilities.

Don't forget to add another Meta - Instagram. Also huge sales of unknown origin's products.

PS: DBA is supposed to provide guidance to such small entrepreneurs, right?
